Activities
Soil and water conservation: farm ponds, check dams, contour bunding, nala plugging.
Afforestation, woodlots, agroforestry.
Rehabilitation of degraded land with bio-engineering.
Groundwater recharge, irrigation structures.
Participatory irrigation management via Pani Panchayats & WUAs.
Watershed programmes supported by NABARD, OWDM, REWARD, and OTELP enabled IRDMS to restore degraded lands and water resources. Soil conservation and water harvesting measures reduced erosion and improved groundwater. Farmers benefitted from irrigation access, diversified farming, and improved soil fertility. Strengthening of water user institutions ensured community ownership and sustainability of NRM practices.
