Under OIIPCRA and OSDA skill programmes, IRDMS promoted fisheries as a viable livelihood. Linking water bodies under irrigation to pisciculture created a new income stream for farmers. Training on hatchery operations and market access enabled rural youth and SHGs to diversify into profitable aquaculture ventures.
