IRDMS is actively engaged in implementing the Odisha Integrated Irrigation Project for Climate Resilient Agriculture (OIIPCRA) in Bolangir district. This flagship initiative, supported by the World Bank and the Department of Water Resources, Government of Odisha, focuses on introducing climate-smart agricultural technologies to enhance water-use efficiency and farm productivity.
Key components include deployment of solar-powered irrigation systems, promotion of integrated crop and water management practices, and strengthening of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to improve market linkages and value chain integration.
These interventions collectively aim to build climate resilience, increase agricultural output, and improve livelihoods of smallholder farmers in the district.
IRDMS conducts comprehensive skill development training programmes in Bolangir district targeting rural youth and farmers to equip them with practical, employable skills aligned with local agrarian needs.
